I have been doing rescue for quite a while now and it’s a huge passion of mine.
Since I was a little girl I’ve always felt an extreme love and sympathy for animals, especially dogs. I remember as a little girl having outside dogs and crying myself to sleep at night because my dad wouldn't let me sleep outside with "my pups". I had my first pit bull as a little girl, named Scooby. He made me realize that one of my favorite breeds is the pit bull and we have to fight for them. When I look at this breed I see a strong, intelligent, loving, loyal, unique and beautiful dog.
I believe that we need to be the voice for the voiceless. After volunteering for a rescue that discriminated against pit bulls I decided that it was time to fight for them and that's what my rescue, Cajun Paws Rescue is all about.
I believe that saving these dogs are what I was put on this earth to do, and I will live out my dream of saving precious pit bulls one by one.
